» Family Promise of Beaufort County seeks Director

Family Promise of Beaufort County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless and low income families achieve sustainable independence is seeking a Director to provide overall operational management for the organization.

The organization provides temporary shelter through an extensive partnership with local congregations of faith, case management to assist families in securing employment and housing, and provides other supportive services such as educational classes, child care, counseling, and transportation.

Director: The successful candidate will possess:
• The demonstrated ability to manage services and programs;
• Experience in supervising staff as well as recruiting, training and supervising volunteers;
• The ability to successfully raise funds especially through donations and contributions;
• Strong relationship building skills with the ability to expand collaboratives and partnerships;
• Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in formal and informal settings, to engage people and convey passion for the mission of Family Promise;
• The ability to develop and implement an operational budget;
• A Bachelor’s degree in one of the social sciences, business or related field with 5 years experience in successfully developing and managing human services/nonprofit programs; or a Master’s degree in one of the social science, or related field with 3 years experience in successfully developing and managing human services/nonprofit programs, or any combination of education and experience commensurate to the job.
• Some travel is required; SC driver’s license and a good driving record is necessary
• Must live in Beaufort County
• Must be able to work occasional weekend and/or evening hours.
• Reports to the Board of Trustees.
• Supervises Case Manager, Program Assistant, Driver and program volunteers.
