» Graphic Artist for the Technical College of the Lowcountry

Design and manage printed and computer-generated graphics for use in college-wide promotional materials including publications, advertisement, website, reports, and presentations. Coordinates and manages design and content of the college’s website to ensure stylistic and graphic consistency with timely and accurate information. Duties include but are not limited to: responsible for the College; responsible for College publication production including copy writing, copy editing/proofreading, graphic design, layout, print bidding, and overall project management; coordinates College photography including shoot schedules; works with college divisions and marketing team to develop long-range and annual marketing plans and strategies; coordinates the purchase and maintenance of office computers and other essential equipment; ensure all software is up-to-date and working properly; works with special events and trade shows. QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate Degree and two (2) years experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material graphic work experience; or a high school diploma and four (4) years graphic related work experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Individual should be experienced and proficient in a variety of HTML authoring, illustration, presentation, and publishing applications including Dreamweaver, Contribute, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Acrobat, In Design, and Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Individual should have strong knowledge of web and mini-site development with solid graphic design skills. Backend application, Actionscript, JavaScript, XML and database management skills are a plus.
