I'm inspired to make something of myself so I can leave this God-forsaken, cold, landlocked, desolate, uninhabitable area we call The Lowcountry.
Unfortunately my creativity is mostly in my head, and there's a lot of room up there so thoughts get lost before I have a chance to implement them. So far I've authored about seven books (two fiction, two non-fiction and a novella) but they have yet to make it from my head to a publisher.
Because "art" and all of its various outlets is what makes life worthwhile. Yes, you need engineers and mathematicians and people who do things with power tools that I can't even begin to understand, but creative people are every bit as important to society. I think I'm paraphrasing someone else's thoughts. I'm sure this has been said before (and better). I guess this is not an original, creative position to hold.
Actually, I'd like to apologize for the profile pic. It's just the way I look. You don't like it? Take it up with God.
