I live in Beaufort, and I work on Hilton Head. The daily commute to and from work, through the area, affords me much inspiration and reflection. Plus, the really hot summers keep me indoors, attached to this computer.
With my fingers, mainly, mashing on this keyboard. In addition to my full-time job at the Arts Center, I am a freelance writer and editor, with a column in the Beaufort Gazette. I also plan on writing the great American novel some day, probably next Friday.
I believe the arts community -- and as an extension, any creative types -- is the lifeblood of any community and, certainly, all striving civilizations. I am proud to be a part of that, and I'd like to see Beaufort try harder to attract more opportunities for people like me.
