What is Fuse843?

I've been asked that question a number of times and have offered a few different answers depending on the day and how I feel about the world, or more specifically the greater Beaufort area.

Let me start by saying that first and foremost Fuse should be your go-to website for creative talent. Think of us as a shop-local website of sorts, but in this case you're shopping for people and services, not goods and food.

Need a web designer? Type 'web design' into our search box and check out the 83 results you get back.

Need a writer? Yeah we got that, too.

We hope that Fuse843.com will become your first choice in terms of searching for local talent.
If you're a regional professional who doesn't have a Fuse profile, yet, why not? It's free! Need we say more?

So what else is Fuse843?

Well I think it's in the advocacy business; advocating on behalf of our regional Creative Class talent.

I don't want Fuse to get bogged down in the bureaucracy that hampers so many other organizations. Instead, I believe Fuse should pick issues that resonate with the Creative Class and then become advocates and evangelists.

So what are the issues?
Well that's where you come in.
Two that have been on my mind and again popped into my head over the weekend are:
1) USCB's investment in downtown Beaufort; and
2) Cell coverage (or the lack thereof) throughout northern Beaufort County

Each of these play a role in attracting members of the Creative Class to our region while sustaining and supporting those already here. But there are so many other issues, and we need to hear from you on what you think they are.

So share your thoughts with us. What's important to you? What do you think stands in the way of attracting new talent to this region, to birthing new businesses?

You can't swing a stick without finding us online, so share your thoughts with us somewhere:
